Good busy day.

We have had a good weekend so far. Yesterday (Friday) S got to spend part of the day with her Nana while I ran errands and met up with a girlfriend for much needed girl time/talk and a pedicure! S was so excited that she got to see her nana, on our way there she was not being very nice and a little crabby and this was our conversation
Me: "Grumpy little girls don't get to go see their nana they get to go home and go to bed. OK?"
S: OK, if you say so.

Some of the things that come out her mouth amaze me sometimes! After I ran my errands we headed home and she hung out with Daddy and Daisy and I went to a get together. I was going to take S but she hadn't had a nap and I wasn't sure how ahe was going to act around new people so she hung out at home. When I got home she was getting ready for bed and when she saw me she ran into the room and gave me a big hug. I love that little girl so much. I have admit that I would get jealous at how excited she got when her daddy got home from work but now I'm getting that same emotion! One of the errands that I had was to get my haircut. Ahout 4 years ago I found a stylist that I LOVED LOVED LOVED. She is honest with me and cuts my hair perfectly.Ever since my sister started comsmetology school I have gone to my sister. She does a great job but for those of you who know me well know how much hair I have. A LOT, TONS, and it needs to be thinned out on a regular basis as good as a job as A does she is new to the profession and as I had learned from my stylist it takes a long time and a lot of practice to thin my hair the way it needs to be thinned. So after almost two years of seeing my sister my hair was unmangably thick and was being put up on a daily basis. So I went back to my old stylist to get it under control. Anyways I had told S that I was going to get my haircut and I got a noticable amount of length taken off but when I picked her up and we went home I guess she didn't notice cause after my bifg hug she looked at me and said "When did you get your haircut?" I just thought it was cute that she had noticed. :)

Today we ran some errands and went to her best friend''s birthday party. We stopped by to see my dad on the way home. sophia and I were playing the staring game and she kept hiding her eyes behind the footstool so I couldn't see her blinking. She is definatley a clever little girl! After we left my dad's house we stopped by Home Depot and when Daddy was looking at stuff I was trying to keep her occupied so I asked her if she could touch her nose with her tounge. She tried which was funny enough but them her response was "It's just a little bit too short" so that had me laughing hard enough then I looked at her a couple seconds later she was pulling on her tounge trying to touch her nose with it. I thought I was going to throw up from lqughing so hard!

I hace to work tomorrow. I really like my hob but adter days like today and yesterady it makes it really hard to go to work! So off to bed for me! Sorry for all the typos! I'm writing this from my Ipad and is not being very cooperative!

Well that didn't work out too well.....

Yeah keeping this blog updated went as well as I thought. Not at all.....Really not a whole lot has changed in the almost year that it has been since I have posted.

We had a new addition to the family Daisy our Golden Retriever. We had been talking about getting a dog for a while and we had decided that we would get one around my birthday which pleased Nick to no end cause that would take him off the hook of coming up with a present :) Well excitment got the best of me and we ended up bringing her home at the end of April. There were some growing pains with her and Sophie but I think we are over the hurdle and they are becoming closer and closer every day.

Nick is as busy as ever with work. Always has ideas on how to improve things and make more money. What is nice though is we (we meaning him) finally seem to have a system with truck maintence so we are having more non-FedEx related time off together.

I got a job at Nordstrom's in the Kidswear department right before Thanksgiving and I am really liking it. It is dangerous for me to work in that department with all of the cute clothes that we have I have to give myself a daily reminder that she has enough clothes right now.
I am still in school still trucking a long I will be so glad when I am done.

Sophia is the light of our lives. I tell Nick all the time that she has always had such a cute personality but it really starting to shine more and more. For her 3rd birthday she got a bunk bed that she loves. We didn't put the bottom bunk in and her toys are under there and she is able to play under there. One nice thing is that she can not get down by herself so are not having any more in the middle of the night visits :) She is FULLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so nice not having any diapers to change any more! Not even pull ups. We were still doing pull ups at night and had planned on doing it for a while since she is not able to get down off of her bed yet and she sometimes wait to the last minute to tell us that she had to go potty which I could see resulting in a not so nice wake up call in the middle of the night. Anyway we were doing pull ups at night and she was waking up dry 98% of the time. One Thursday about a month ago her mom told us that she had been wearing panties to bed so we had her wear panties to bed here as well and haven't looked back since!

I really can't belive how much and how fast she is growing up. She can almost completely get herself dressed and undressed the only problem we are having is getting her shirt off but we are working on it. Any pointers would be appreciated! She starts preschool in September and I am so excited to see how she will develop and how much she will learn!

We are trucking along with the wedding. We have the invites picked out, the save the dates should be in the mail by Friday, we picked out the tuxes, the girls should be ordering their dresses soon, just checking things off the list!

I promise that I am going to try harder to keep this updated! Try being the important word!
